I have always had an interest in health and wellbeing but it was not until I had a course of acupuncture treatments that set me on the path to train as an acupuncture practitioner.  I was amazed how inserting a few needles into the body could have such an impact on how I felt!  I decided I would look into this ‘mystical’ healing technique.  I was fascinated to read about the Eastern understanding of health and medicine and their concept of Qi (energy) and meridians that run throughout the body.  These seemed to be very foreign concepts compared to what we’re taught about health and disease in the West.  I was lucky enough to study for an acupuncture degree at Lincoln University and graduated in 2009.

I have also gone on to complete studies in Reiki level 1, 2 and masters, a level 3 & 4 diploma in Sports Massage Therapy, an advanced diploma in Hypnotherapy and a diploma in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).  I bring elements of all of these therapies into my treatments if I feel they are appropriate.  I also offer them as separate  treatments on an individual basis.  In essence all these therapies work together to re-balance the body both physically and energetically and clear away unwanted beliefs that may be creating unwanted behaviours or experiences in our lives.
